Privacy Policy — Frens
Effective date: January 10, 2026
Company: Friendly Labs Inc. ("Frens", "we", "us", "our")

1) Overview
Frens is a social app that also includes a self-custodial wallet experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we share it.
Key points:
- We use Privy for authentication and embedded wallets. We do not ask for or receive your seed phrase or private keys; Privy describes its key management and export model in its documentation.
- When you use wallet features, one or more Ethereum and Solana wallet addresses may be created and/or associated with your account.
- We store public wallet addresses on our servers so we can provide wallet features.
- We use PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for crash/error monitoring.
- Blockchain transactions are public and irreversible by nature.
2) Information We Collect
A) Information you provide
- Account information: e.g., email or phone number (depending on your login method via Privy).
- User content: messages, group chat content, profile info you choose to provide, and content you submit.
- Support communications: anything you include when you contact us.
B) Wallet and blockchain information
- Wallet addresses (Ethereum & Solana): we associate one or more public addresses with your account and store them in our systems.
- Blockchain data derived from those addresses: balances, token holdings, transaction hashes, timestamps, contract interactions, and related public chain metadata. This data may be obtained from public blockchains and infrastructure providers.
Public nature of blockchains: Your wallet address and transaction history may be visible to anyone via public block explorers.
C) App analytics and diagnostics
We collect the following to operate, improve, and secure the Service:
PostHog (product analytics): We send app interaction events (for example: screen views, button taps, onboarding steps, feature usage) and limited device/app context (for example: app version, OS version, language, time zone). PostHog may receive standard request metadata (such as IP address) in connection with these events. We do not use IP address for advertising.
Sentry (crash/error monitoring): We send crash reports and error diagnostics (for example: stack traces, device/app version info, performance timing, and logs relevant to the crash).
D) What we do not collect
- We do not ask you for seed phrases.
- We do not need or want your private keys.
3) Wallet Private Keys and Export
Frens uses Privy embedded wallets. You may be able to export wallet private keys using Privy-supported export methods. We do not receive your private key through these export flows; Privy’s documentation describes how export works and what information is accessible to each party.
4) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate Frens (login, messaging, wallet features).
- Display wallet information and activity derived from public chains.
- Improve the product (analytics, feature development, troubleshooting).
- Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Communicate with you (support, service notices, updates).
5) How We Share Information
We may share information in these situations:
A) With service providers (processors)
We share limited information with vendors that help us run Frens, including:
- Privy (authentication + embedded wallet infrastructure).
- PostHog (product analytics).
- Sentry (crash/error monitoring).
These providers process data on our behalf to provide their services.
B) For legal, safety, and security reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to: comply with applicable law or lawful requests, protect users, prevent fraud/abuse, or enforce our terms.
C) With your direction
For example, when you share content with other users, or choose to reveal your wallet address.
We do not sell your personal information.
6) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to: operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Blockchain data may remain publicly available indefinitely, independent of Frens.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards (including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate) designed to protect information we process.
You are responsible for keeping your device and login credentials secure. Because Frens includes self-custodial wallet features, anyone with access to your device or account may be able to initiate wallet activity.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law (often based on where you reside), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information we control. To make a request, contact us. Note that we cannot edit or delete information that is permanently recorded on public blockchains (such as transaction history), although we can delete account data we store.

9) Children
Frens is not intended for individuals under 18, or under the minimum age required to use the Service in your jurisdiction. Eligibility and availability of certain features may vary by location due to legal and regulatory requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it and may suspend or terminate the account. Parents or guardians can contact us if they believe we have collected a minor’s information.
